Está operada por Antena 3 de Televisión que a su vez forma parte del Grupo Antena 3, junto a otras empresas como Uniprex (Onda Cero, Europa FM), Movierecord o Unipublic.

Sus emisiones regulares en analógico comenzaron el 25 de enero de 1990, con un programa presentado por el periodista Miguel Ángel Nieto, que un mes antes había presentado así mismo el inicio de las emisiones en pruebas 25 de diciembre de 1989 siendo el primer canal privado en emitir para toda España.

Por el canal han pasado rostros tan conocidos cómo Jesús Hermida, Mercedes Milá, Jesús Vázquez, Constantino Romero, Paula Vázquez, José María Carrascal, Alfonso Arús, Ana Rosa Quintana, Silvia Jato, Olga Viza, Montserrat Domínguez, Alicia Senovilla, Carlos Sobera, María Teresa Campos o Andreu Buenafuente.

Sus estudios centrales están situados en San Sebastián de los Reyes, en la Comunidad de Madrid.
